Choose either the Beginner Skills & Confidence Clinic at 10:00 AM or the Advanced Skills & Guided Trail Ride at 11:30 AM by selecting your camper’s skill level above the “Add to Cart” button. Each session is designed to meet riders where they are and help them build confidence, skills, and have fun on the bike!

Beginner Skills & Confidence Session
Time: June 21st 10:00 AM – 11:15 AM
Ages: 6–13 (Beginner riders)
Duration: 75 minutes
Focus: Foundational skill-building through fun lessons and games
Description:
Perfect for newer riders, this session helps build confidence and core bike skills in a fun, supportive environment. Kids will learn through structured lessons and play, gaining essential tools for a lifetime of safe riding.
Clinic Structure:

Welcome & Warm-Up (5 min):
Group introductions, expectations, and a fun movement-based activity. -
Skill Stations (45 min):
Three 15-minute mini-lessons:-
Braking: Learn how to stop smoothly and safely using both brakes.

Shifting: When and how to shift gears on different terrain.

Body Position: Master the basic “neutral” and “ready” positions for better control.

Obstacle Course & Games (20 min):
Practice skills on a short obstacle course, then enjoy confidence-building games with peers. -
Wrap-Up & Reflection (5 min):
Debrief, celebrate wins, and give some high-fives!
Bonus: The obstacle course remains open and supervised for extra practice while staff are present!
Clinic 2: Advanced Skills & Guided Trail Ride
Time: June 21st 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Ages: 6–13 (Intermediate to advanced riders)
Duration: 90 minutes
Focus: Trail-based skill refinement and real-time coaching on Norbrook’s trails
Description:
This session is for riders who are comfortable on singletrack and ready to push their skills further. It combines focused instruction with an immersive trail ride experience to reinforce technique and build trail confidence.
Clinic Structure:

Targeted Skills Warm-Up (15 min):
Quick review of essential trail-riding body positions and techniques. -
Guided Trail Ride (70 min):

Ride a lap on Norbrook’s dynamic trail system with an experienced KC&E coach.

Stop and “session” trail features to practice line choice, bike-body movement, and flow.

Receive on-the-go tips for handling technical sections and building speed safely.

Cool Down & Debrief (5 min):
Reflect on the ride, share takeaways, and wrap up with a Q&A session.
