Description

The KC&E Counselor in Training (CIT) program is designed for KC&E Camp alumni ages 14–15—or older siblings of current campers—who want to stay involved, continue riding, and begin developing leadership skills on the beautiful Kingdom Trails.

The CIT program blends the fun of participation with the first steps of professional development. Participants take part in riding and camp activities while learning the fundamentals of coaching and group leadership alongside KC&E’s experienced instructors.

Before camp, CITs complete the KC&E Online Training Module, introducing them to coaching techniques, youth engagement strategies, and the skill instruction delivered in our mountain bike camps. Each CIT receives a KC&E staff shirt and is assigned to a group with a lead coach, where they ride sweep, assist with group management, and help supervise campers—all while continuing to enjoy the trails themselves.

This program is a paid participation experience offered at a reduced rate, reflecting its dual focus on learning and leadership. It’s the perfect bridge for young riders who want to grow into future KC&E Mountain Bike Camp coaches and instructors.
