Description
The Ride & Explore Adventure Camp uses the bike as a vehicle for discovery—combining the excitement of riding with the wonder of outdoor exploration. Perfect for curious and active kids ages 7–13, this half-day camp invites participants to ride, explore, and connect with the natural beauty of the White Memorial Conservation Center, an expansive 4,000-acre preserve in the heart of Litchfield County.
Each day begins at Rifugio Litchfield Hills, our welcoming recreation hub that blends the charm of New England with the spirit of adventure. From there, campers venture out by bike to explore meadows, wooded trails, ponds, and open fields—using their bikes to access the many hidden corners of the preserve.
Led by KC&E’s experienced instructors, campers build confidence on the bike while learning to observe, explore, and appreciate the outdoors. Each day blends skill-building rides with hands-on discovery, teamwork, and plenty of fun.
